Advocacy during Coronavirus – Advocates Survey

Calling all Independent Advocates! We want to hear from you!

Help us by completing this anonymous survey

NDTi has been working with a group of organisations who are working together to lead Advocacy through the Covid-19 pandemic.  We’re collaborating to share information, best practice and to ensure that we are all best prepared to continue providing outstanding advocacy to the people we support and represent.

We need your help…

We have created a National Advocacy Survey to gather the experiences of Independent Advocates in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The survey has been created for advocates, so we can hear how people you support have been impacted, how advocates have adapted, to understand the challenges you have faced, and the successes you’ve achieved.

Please help us hear your experiences by filling in the survey. It’s quick and easy to complete and your responses will help us to understand the impact of Covid-19 on the people you support and represent, your work and your services.

To complete the survey on your computer, tablet or smart phone, please click on this link or scan the QR code.

We are hoping to understand:

  • the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on people you support
  • the national picture of current advocacy delivery
  • the impact of the Coronavirus Act on advocacy in practice
  • how emergency powers are being executed and how this impacts on our ability to provide advocacy
  • what is working well and what are the challenges

We will use information from the survey to inform future planning, campaigns, developments, resources and training opportunities. We will circulate our findings.

We want to reassure you that the survey is anonymous and that no information that could identify an individual or organisation will be shared outside of NDTi.  NDTi will aggregate, analyse and report on the survey findings to help inform future collaborative working.

We would really appreciate it if you could find a spare half an hour to complete the survey to ensure your views and the experiences of the people you support are represented.

You will be guided to complete sections of the survey that are relevant to the types of advocacy you personally deliver.  You can complete the survey on your computer, tablet or smart phone, but it will be easiest to complete on your computer or tablet.

The Survey explores:

  • how people’s rights have been affected during the Coronavirus pandemic
  • issues and concerns that have impacted people
  • how people’s access to advocacy have been affected and changes to the ways advocates have worked with people
  • how different types of advocacy delivery have been affected
  • how we can best plan for the future
