Of course Advocacy Awareness Week wouldn’t be complete without the National Advocacy Conference and National Advocacy Awards. The Conference is taking place at the Birmingham NEC on Thursday 31st October and there is a stellar line up of speakers and workshops. The Advocacy Awards Ceremony will be held the night before and doors open at 6.30pm on Wednesday 30th. As always it promises to be a fabulous night, celebrating the very best of advocacy.
Nominations for the awards close on the 31st August 2019, and there are six categories: Outstanding Advocate, Outstanding Service, Best Co-production, Equality and Diversity, Best Advocacy Supporter and Stand Out Children’s Award. So, if you think you know the next Outstanding Advocate, want to nominate an Outstanding Service, celebrate brilliant co-production, champion a supporter of your service, you know what to do!
