Our Friends over at Black Belt Advocacy have got 2 days of amazing events lined up for the 30th and 31st October. We hope to see lots of you there!
Special Interest Groups – Wednesday October 30th 2019 3pm-5pm
Hilton Hotel Birmingham NEC, Cost – free!!
A special interest group is a coming together of people within a community who have a shared interest in advancing a specific area of knowledge or practice. The members of the group cooperate with one another to explore problems and produce solutions.
A total of 4 special interests will run concurrently on Wednesday 30th Oct to explore the following topics:
Liberty Protection Safeguards – what do we need to do to get ready?
Mental Health Act Review – where are things at and what is on the horizon?
Equalities and Advocacy – what do we need to do to improve?
Data collection – why is there is no national system to collect advocacy data and what do we think should happen?
These are the topic groups that the Leader’s in Advocacy Network are focusing on and so this a great opportunity to contribute to those ongoing discussions!
We believe that by coming together we are better placed to find solutions and shape the future direction of advocacy. If you want to be involved, please join us.
